Services der Verfassten Studierendenschaft

In addition to our services such as this website or Reftreff, there are also some services that are available to members of the VSt committees. For this, a VSt account is required, the application for the account is done by the chairperson of the respective committee.

Status

We have set up a status page to check whether individual services are available. This regularly tests the services for availability and updates itself every 5 minutes.

Hedgedoc:

To enable collaborative work on documents, we provide Hedgedoc. Here you can work together on texts or notes and also share them. It does not replace an office solution like MS Office or Collabora.
Created notes could also be shared with non VSt users.

Cloud:

An important point when setting up the VSt servers was a central data storage for all committees. With the cloud, there is now a data protection-compliant online storage for all VSt bodies. This is intended to replace services such as Google Drive or local servers in the campus offices. This is intended to improve the exchange of files within and between the bodies.

Keycloak:

With Keycloak, VSt now has a central authentication service, which is comparable to the university's Shiboleth. This allows us to provide each user with a central account for the use of VSt services. In the first phase, accounts will be issued to members of the campus ASten, starting with Furtwangen, and key positions in the VSt. Student representatives and working groups can apply for accounts, please write an e-mail. The processes for account management are currently still being worked out.

You can change your account settings under the following link.

Gitlab:

We have set up a Gitlab instance for all IT projects and similar. This is fully equipped with CI/CD and can be used immediately.

Helpdesk:

In order to be able to process the respective committees' e-mail distribution lists and their incoming e-mails in a good way, we have set up a ticket system. The basic system is Zammad, an open source ticket system.
This is where all the committees' email addresses currently end up. In order to get access to the respective mails, you have to register at the AG Server after a successful first login with Keycloak, so that we can activate your account.

Help:

Our e-mail vst-server@hfu.eu serves as a central contact point for problems. This is where you can raise any issues or queries about the services.

These are only the first services that are available. In the coming semesters, the services should be expanded further. The wish list includes a project management tool, an online password manager and self-service web hosting.

We hope you enjoy using the services.
